The Sunshine Coast's draft Community Plan details our community's vision, values and aspirations for the next 20 years. It recognises that we are a community of communities and it acknowledges and respects our unique environment, our rich heritage, our diverse people and our shared values.
The plan will establish a path that enhances our region's liveability, its strong sense of community, its character and environment. It will establish strategies that strengthen our capacity to balance our expanding population and demand for services and infrastructure. The plan will also facilitate the development of strategies to diversify our economy and create local employment opportunities, stimulate investment in education and training, and ensure our ability to move around the region safely and easily through quality public transport systems.
