It's Your Place... We're Listening.

Your place... it's important to you and important to us. The Sunshine Coast is a fast growing region and the pace of change adds pressures on the character and values of many of our places. The look and feel of our places are cherished by the community and we want to make sure your ideas are incorporated when council is planning for change.

PLACE + is an exciting new investment in the town centres, villages and transport corridors across the Sunshine Coast. It is a compilation of programs focused on delivering high quality public spaces for people to enjoy and experience.

Beerwah has been chosen as the first community to be funded under the PLACE + program.

We want your thoughts and ideas about your area, what's important to you and how you think we can best create the type of place that you want to live in. Read what others are saying, listen to their experiences and ideas and become involved in the conversation.

This is the first of two consultations phases on the Beerwah component of the program and your feedback will be integral in drafting the Place Making Action Plan for Beerwah.

There are things that we identify with our communities that make them special to us. We want to make sure that these unique characteristics are identified and preserved in any changes that are made. Sense of place - it means different things to different people. Sometimes you can drive into a community and you immediately feel its sense of place and it resonates with you. What do you think gives a community its sense of place? Is it the look or feel? The style of buildings? The green spaces? The places where people meet?
