Complete this change of address form to update your address with council for a property you own or an animal you own.

If the property is owned by a company or trust, please complete the Company change of address online form.

There are several other sections of council that may need to be contacted separately to update your address. For libraries, please contact your local branch.

Please note: Updating your email address on this form will not change the email address for your rates notice, if the delivery method for your rates notice is by email. To update the email delivery address for your rates notice, please visit MyCouncil.

To change any other details (e.g. licences, debtors information, etc.) complete a request via MyCouncil.

Property

When a property is sold, the Department of Natural Resources and Mines (DNRM) send council the new ownership and postal address details. Registered owners can choose to have their rates notices sent to a different postal address. Use the Rates Change of Address online form below to notify council of your new address. If the property is owned by a company or trust, please complete the company change of address form. Note: A copy of the ASIC Current Company Extract can be provided to confirm the identity of the directory or secretary.

Important information - please read

  • a separate nomination can be made for each property you own
  • authority to act for all property owners when changing the rate notice delivery method to email is confirmed
  • any valid email address can be nominated - does not have to be the email address that you login with
  • rate notices for a property will be issued to one nominated email account
  • in the case of multiple properties assigned to a single email address, one email will be issued with a PDF file containing rates notices for each property
  • a confirmation message will be received to the email you login with when you first nominate a property to receive the rate notice by email or when you change the nominated email address
  • if you do not receive this email within 3 working days please contact customer service
  • the email address you have previously nominated for general correspondence from council will NOT be changed if you use this facility to provide an email address to receive the rates notice for a property.

Terms and conditions - electronic delivery of rates notice

  • I give my consent for future rate notices to be sent to me electronically.
  • I understand that I will no longer receive a paper copy of my Rate Notice by post.
  • I confirm I have the authority to act on behalf of all property owners in requesting the rate notice is issued to the email address above.
  • I acknowledge that if the delivery of the electronic rate notice to the specified e-mail address is not successful a paper copy of the rate notice will be produced and posted to my last advised postal address recorded in council's database. The delivery method will also be updated to post for future rates notices.
  • I acknowledge it is my responsibility to ensure I pay my rates by the due date.
  • I acknowledge I am responsible for contacting council to obtain a rate notice should such a notice not be received.
  • I acknowledge that if council receives any notification of a change in ownership of the property, including sale of the property, transmission by death, transfers into or out of joint names, or change of owner name (e.g. due to a change in marital status) the delivery method for the specified property will automatically revert to a paper copy sent by post. In this instance I will need to reapply if I wish to have future rate notices sent electronically.
