50th Anniversary of the Naming of the Sunshine Coast Guinness World Record Attempt
Leave your mark on the 50th anniversary celebrations by signing the giant anniversary card as part of a World Guinness Book of Records attempt for the most contributions to a greeting card.
Sunshine Coast Council is calling on locals and visitors to secure a place in history by signing their names on a giant anniversary card in an attempt to break a Guinness World Record.
The 2.4 metres high by 3.6 metres wide card will feature at the New Year’s Eve celebrations in Mooloolaba, marking the finale to a year-long 50th Anniversary of the Naming of the Sunshine Coast celebrations.
Every person who signs the card will take us one step closer to setting the world record for the most contributions to a greeting card.
The current record is 16,707 signatures, achieved by the National Memorial Arboretum (UK) and council is aiming for 18,000.
Those unable to attend New Year’s Eve in Mooloolaba will be able to make their contribution by signing online. Complete the short form below and help the Sunshine Coast set a Guinness World Record.
Share the celebration and encourage your friends, family and colleagues to be involved.
