    Council invited you to comment on the proposed amendment to the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014, relating to Proposed Planning Scheme Amendment – Additional South East Queensland Regional Plan 2017 Sites and Other Zoning Matters. The proposed amendment was subject to public consultation from Monday 2 November 2020.

  • Meridan Downs Park - Disc Golf Course Proposal

    Council previously invited comment on the proposed introduction of disc golf infrastructure in Meridan Downs Park. This initial community engagement period ran for a three-week period from 24/06/2020 – 17/07/2020.

    A number of responses were received. Council then sought feedback from the residents within the immediate vicinity of the park about the proposal.

    Council sought feedback on service delivery and invited you to have your say on the five year regional outlook for our Sunshine Coast. Survey closed December 4.

    The feedback is currently being independently analysed by IRIS Research for presentation to Council.

    The draft Sunshine Coast Heritage Plan 2021-2031 was available for comment.

    The plan covers the conservation and management of the important things we want to pass on to future generations.

    By completing the survey there was a chance to win community event tickets and an iPad.

  • Naming proposal - park on Technology Drive

    A Naming Proposal has been submitted to officially name a park along Technology Drive, Warana. This parcel of land is not currently officially named.

    The proposed name commemorates the life of Michael Foley, Vietnam Veteran, local artist and long term resident of the Sunshine Coast.
