Peachester to Beerwah Flexilink Trial Transport Service
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on LinkedinEmail this link
Consultation has concluded
Council sought feedback on the Flexilink trial transport service between Peachester and Beerwah to determine if the route and timetable are suitable and if the trial service will continue.
All fully completed entries went into the draw for a $100 Visa gift card.
The draw has been conducted, and the winner is (AW of Beerwah) who has been notified.
Where to from here
Based on the community response and the current passenger numbers, the existing route and schedule for this trial service will be retained.
Background
In May 2010, council introduced seven new Flexilink trial transport services across the Sunshine Coast.
Four of these services ceased on 30 June 2011, and one on 1 August 2015 due to low patronage. The remaining two services between Beerwah and Peachester and Conondale, Witta and Maleny have now been operating for over seven years.
Flexilink trial transport services aim to provide affordable, safe, reliable and accessible public transport to communities with fewer alternative transport options. Flexilink trial transport services are ultimately designed to connect communities not otherwise serviced by public transport to scheduled public transport services in neighbouring towns.
