Overview
As part of Stage Two of the Mooloolaba Foreshore Revitalisation Project, Council will continue to work closely with stakeholders to manage and minimise disruption throughout the construction process and to empower local businesses through business support and capacity building.
During this process partnerships and collaborations will be fostered to ensure as many voices are heard and acknowledged.
The role of the Business Activation Group is to enable business focused input into the Mooloolaba Foreshore Revitalisation Project and overall Mooloolaba precinct.
The purpose of the Business Activation Group is to:
- Engage with local businesses, including business operators, accommodation providers, landowners, business groups, events and tourism parties.
- Provide an opportunity for current business-related issues relevant to the Mooloolaba precinct to be discussed with, and understood by, all stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities and provide ideas and input to business activation planning to support the future benefit of the Mooloolaba precinct.
- Support and deliver actions derived from the business activation planning for the Mooloolaba precinct.
Council has engaged Reactivate consulting to work with the Business Activation Group.
The first three meetings of the Business Activation Group have been confirmed for the following dates. These meetings have been provided with advanced notice to allow for business activation planning, to better prepare for expected Stage Two construction in mid-2024.

Meeting times will be a window between 6.30-9.30am and confirmed once members are established.
