Project Summary
Sunshine Coast Council is excited to announce plans for improvements to Alex Bluff Foreshore Park at Alexandra Headland. This beloved council-wide park, famous for its breathtaking views, attracts locals and visitors alike to enjoy picnicking, surfing, taking in the scenery, and various recreational activities. With placemaking principles in mind, council aims to enhance the park while retaining its relaxed atmosphere and character with proposed landscape improvements.
Council has developed concept designs focusing on two areas of the park, ‘The Corner’ (Alex Wall) and Coastal Pathway Boardwalk, as part of high-level planning in the park.
Council invites you to share your feedback on the concept designs for Alex Bluff Foreshore Park before 19 April by completing the online survey.
While these improvements are not yet part of the council’s 10-year Capital Works Program for construction, community feedback will help prioritise improvements and seek potential future grant applications and funding opportunities.

2. Coastal Pathway Boardwalk
The proposed Coastal Pathway Boardwalk is an essential link in the Coastal Pathway network, providing wheelchair access to the steepest section between Mooloolaba Foreshore Park through to Maroochydore. The boardwalk’s design thoughtfully incorporates existing trees, offering scenic ocean glimpses, creating a stunning “tree-top” walk experience.
