Moffat Beach, a cherished spot for both locals and tourists, continues to grow in popularity. It is known for its Norfolk Island pine trees, relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, great surf breaks and stunning ocean views. The beach and green spaces play host to activities like picnics, yoga, walking, running, dog walking, surfing events and its main street and surrounds are home to businesses offering places to eat, drink and shop.

Beginning in May this year, the seawall will be reconstructed after the western section was damaged by severe weather and rainfall in 2022, and the middle section damaged in early 2024. With this in mind, we have shared three projects for feedback that focus on a short-term plan for Moffat Beach park and headland, as well as a long-term vision and plan for the suburb’s public spaces.

These projects are the Moffat Beach Seawall Draft Landscape Plan, the Moffat Beach Place Plan and the Moffat Headland Railing Renewal and Enhancement.
