Across the region, 26 in-person events were held to help you learn more about the proposed planning scheme, including:

  • 15 x speak to a planner (one-on-one) drop-in sessions
  • 8 x local pop-up sessions at shopping centres and markets
  • 3 x community forums.

Community forums

Council hosted three community forums on the proposed planning scheme - at Nambour, Buddina and Caloundra. We are thrilled so many members of our community were able to join us to share their thoughts and ask questions. A summary report of the key themes and questions raised at the forums, prepared by the independent facilitator, is now available.

We are currently preparing responses to around 300 questions. Once completed, we’ll share the answers with you here. In the meantime, we encourage you to have a look at the information available on our website, including the following pages related to some of the key themes raised at the forums:
