We've created a series of themed information sheets to help you understand the proposed planning scheme.
The swipe tool allows you to compare the zone and maximum building height mapping for your property and surrounding area under both the current and proposed planning schemes. Click on the tabs to switch between zones and maximum building height.
1. Find the swipe: Click the middle button on the map.

Each map has its own legend on the side, explaining what the colours shown on the maps mean.
Important note - Both sides of the map may use the same colours, but each side has its own legend.

The swipe tool is not a substitute for the proposed and current planning schemes and provides summary information only. To view the proposed planning scheme, visit the ePlan. To view the current planning scheme, visit Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014. Zone and/or building height mapping may not be shown for specific areas including the Declared Master Planned Area (Palmview), part of land within Development Control Plan 1 - Kawana Waters and the Priority Development Areas (Caloundra South, Maroochydore City Centre and Sunshine Coast Airport).
Council’s new interactive ePlan mapping makes it easy to explore and find the planning information you need. A site report gives you a summary of various proposed planning scheme mapping layers applying to your property…all in the one place.
All of the proposed planning scheme mapping is viewable in ePlan. ePlan mapping allows you to easily view and search property information including zones, overlays, building height, minimum lot size requirements and more.
1. Go to the proposed planning scheme in ePlan.
3. Zoom in and out on the map to see what’s planned in your local area and in other parts of the region.
4. Turn on and off different map layers in the right side bar to explore the full suite of mapping information
1. Select a property in the ePlan mapping by either:
2. A left side bar will appear when a property is selected. Note: A property must be selected before the left side bar is displayed.
3. The mapping layers applicable to the selected property will appear on the left-hand side of the web browser. Scroll down to view the results and switch layers on and off.
4. To generate a site report for the selected property, select ‘View Site report for Proposed Planning Scheme’ from the menu at the top of the left side bar.
5. You can clear the selected property by clicking ‘Clear selected property’.
The Site Report for the Proposed Planning Scheme will provide site information and proposed planning scheme zone, overlay and other mapping layers applicable to the site.
Disclaimer: The Site Report for the Proposed Planning Scheme provides an indication (only) of mapping relevant to the site under the proposed planning scheme. Other mapping may also apply to the site that is not shown in the site report. For complete information in relation to the proposed planning scheme, please refer to the ePlan.

Sunshine Coast Council, its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, licensors and other partners are not responsible for any loss, liability, claim, or demand, including legal fees, made by any third party due to or arising from a breach of this agreement and/or any breach of your representations and warranties set forth above.
What content do we own?
This website contains the copyrighted material, trademarks, patents, trade secrets and other proprietary information (“Intellectual Property”) of Sunshine Coast Council and its suppliers and licensors. Sunshine Coast Council owns and retains all proprietary rights in the intellectual property. All intellectual property in the content of this site including without limitation to text, software, source code, pages, documents and online graphics, photographs, sounds, audio, video and other interactive features are owned by or licensed to us.
Any original content that you submit or post on our site may be made available to the public and allows users to share your content (with the end user acknowledging your contribution) under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 Australian License.
